Kira is Beautiful and Young and Her Life can be changed for the better. Love always finds a way.

KIRA IS A YOUNG LIFE IN NEED OF STABILITY

A cat that’s in a home under stressful conditions is an unhappy cat. They will let you know they're unhappy through Behavioral issues that can be corrected by convincing the cat that they're safe and stable. Kira is such a cat, Kira is urinating from STRESS and a savvy and consistent person can be her salvation.

Age: approximately 5 years

Weight: 14.5 lbs

Breed: Maine Coon

Medical history: no illness

Kira is spayed

Healthy eater.

Kira is not declawed. Please do not declaw her: She has been through enough. Kira needs a home where her Anxiety Peeing can be addressed. SHE MUST BE AN ONLY CAT.

Kira's main Source of stress is another cat but I noted that Kira was given up 3 times and I believe that THIS is the major cause for her Behavioral Issues. She needs a Final and Stable home. Here is her story according to the family member holding Kira:

"From what I know my brother got Kira from a friend who simply didn’t want her anymore.

Kira lived with my brother for several years until May 2017 when my brother moved.

My brother has two little kids and Kira was good with them both.

She did pee in his house (mostly on jackets and once in the baby carriage) but very rarely.

Since May 2017, she lives with us.

We have 2 adult male cats. She ignores the elderly cat and preys on Kitty Kat.

The fighting has gotten so bad, that we moved her to my room - litterbox and all."

Kira cannot adjust to other cats. She has been to the vet recently and there are no medical issues.

Kira has been in 3 homes in 5 years. Can you imagine her confusion? She was originally given up for no valid reason. The person just didn't want her anymore. Did that person give her any affection? She went from being an only and probably ignored cat to a cat in a home with a child and then a baby added. She then went to a home with other cats!

When doing adoptions it is never advisable to adopt a male with a female that do not know each other: Kitty Kat is the favorite cat in the household. Kitty Kat is 6 years old; male and neutered. That doesn’t help the dynamics in which Kira suddenly finds herself. Kitty Kat is fighting to defend his turf. Frankie, the other cat in the house, is senile and 20 years so nothing bothers him and I guess Kira senses this so there is no static between them.

Kira needs to have her trauma resolved and trust developed. She needs to know that her needs are important and will be taken care of. She needs to be loved. Love will change her life. Kira cannot adjust to other cats. She has been to the vet recently and there are no medical issues. I believe a female would be better for Kira. Men have let her down.

Kira is not separated all of the time and so her peeing fluctuates. She needs to be in a cat free home. This alone will make a huge difference. She’s a snuggler once she gets over the trauma of relocating. I’m told that she now ignores the last person who gave her up. When he visits and calls her, she completely ignores him.

Kira was peeing infrequently when she was surrendered into her 2nd home. Infrequently once a year and then escalated in May 2017 when she went into her 3rd home with 3 adults and 2 strange cats.

Maine Coons love to be groomed and Kira is no exception. It gives her great joy to be groomed and given one on one attention. Love will find a way. Can you make a Life Long Commitment to Kira?
