Directing Your Life Purpose
There’s more to AMOC than TNR, Colony Caretaking and Feral Cats: the energy that holds all that together is the thing that triggers my life purpose. The need to write; the need to advocate; the need to be alive for a reason; personal development and evolution are all put into service to achieve my purpose in life. When people ask “what’s your purpose in life,” I think that we all have the same basic purpose and that’s to become aware and therefore fully alive.
Knowing your life purpose helps you to survive in our complex world and you need a map or you’re either going to drift like a Jelly Fish or keep crashing into the rocks like flotsam. The difference is in what triggers us to keep going and gives us the focus and motivation to direct that energy outward. When you become isolated your energy stagnates because it stays with you and has nothing to do. “Why bother” becomes the question of the day. I may be rescuing myself over and over again and bringing the underdog with me and I want it to be to a better place so I want to do my best every day.
I’ve learned to develop Self-Discipline and Daily Habits that make an amazing difference even on my worst days. I always have at least 1-3 hours of being grounded every day just because of my routine at the beginning of every day. Rough times are still obstacles and challenges that I will get better at overcoming so don’t go too far because I don’t mind sharing! You can develop Leadership skills and Self-Confidence. This makes you feel self-confident (most of the time) and resourceful, I think I’ve become better at problem solving and it carries over again towards triggering those happy endorphins.
AMOC is not strictly for the cats; the cats are the angels that tell me what I need learn so that I can rise to the challenge of being their advocate and in the process become a more conscious person. So you see, I am their advocate and they are my Life Coaches. My reward for getting out of my comfort zone is a growth in consciousness. They enhance my life. and show me what I am capable of and contribute to my growing level of awareness.
There are a lot of changes in priorities and distractions along the way and you can see that when you read the rest of my blog. It’s reflected in changes of thought; of what’s important day to day; of new insights and the Influence of the Day. It’s complicated but not impossible to untangle. This has become an open book about my own life journey. There are so many Life Coaches and information that can distract and misinform and it’s reflected in what I write. So be advised, I am no Guru and I don’t have all the answers – I’m just sharing my journey with you. To those who think that I am an Alpha woman read on. Daily influences can be nurturing but many are intentionally negative and directed at controlling others who are easily managed. This is not paranoia; see Neuro Linguistic Programming and how it’s smoothly inserted into TV commercials; Advertising and Sales (I group politics with the sales pitch). Know what these are and you can reject them and be a stronger and happier person for having given yourself the gift of Choice.
I want to lay my journey out for everyone who is freaking out in the depression of not knowing why they feel like crap one day and then feel like life is worth living the next day. There are reasons for those feelings. When you have a daily focus you have a map to refer to and it helps you to hold your life together. Being a rescuer of cats gives me a tangible result for my efforts in my world and something no one else will ever see that benefits only me.
When someone is writing a paper or a book they have an outline that keeps them on track so that they write a clear paper. This is something we have to create for every day of our lives. This is a daily habit that gives you 30 minutes of being grounded and sets your course for the day. This is your compass and it works!
I’ll be sharing the links to the audio books; pdfs and videos that worked for me leaving out the many, many items that just took up time and concentration. Some were necessary for a shift in perception to happen and I will include them but with a caveat.
So this was my state of mind today. You must be aware and prepared for those times when you will take one step forward and 2-3 steps: it’s not all forward motion. On the days when there is no forward motion and you feel yourself floundering – just do nothing. Don’t fight what you can’t see. I suppose that’s a good time to meditate and be a watcher but honestly, it’s the hardest time to do that since your feelings are having a party and the theme is the dark side. This is the only time TV is useful: Ted Turner Classics; Stand-up Comedy and all those Fred Astaire movies work for me even when I can’t focus on knitting!
AMOC is a ministry for the Individual Rescuer as well as the cats because these are the people trying to make a difference with no resources and one of the biggest resources you can have is your “Self.” Starting with your “Self” is the beginning of building an arsenal: using Self-Discipline; setting firm Habits and constantly nurturing Personal Growth. I plan on making the best of this journey!
I hope all of the Feral Cats; the Underdogs and all of the other people we come into contact with benefit from our company. We are the Village and a Tribe in the sense of being rescuers and beings in a complex society. I wish us all a Great Journey and many Insights for personal growth.
